PAYMENT OPTIONS

HICAPS

If you have Private Health "Extras" your claim can be processed at the time of your appointment using HICAPS.   We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Amex, EFTPOS and cheques.

 Medicare

If you are seeing your doctor about one or more chronic conditions you may be eligible to have some Osteopathic treatments under the Chronic Disease Management (CDM – formerly EPC) scheme.  Your GP will need to complete a Care Management Plan and can refer you to an osteopath for up to five visits per calendar year. Medicare will rebate you a proportion of the fee per visit. Your payment transaction and Medicare rebate into your account can be completed in our reception.

 Motor Accident Claims

If you are injured in a motor vehicle accident, your treatment is fully covered by MAIB and there is no need for a doctor's referral.  See MAIB's website www.maib.tas.gov.au to get a claim form and claim number but come for treatment a soon as you can after the accident.  You do not have to wait until you have submitted your claim form or received your claim number before you commence treatment.

 Veterans

The Department of Veterans Affairs will cover the costs of treatment for Veterans and their widows.  A doctor’s referral is required.

Workers' Compensation Insurance

Osteopathic treatment is covered by Workers Compensation Insurance and we can bill the insurance company directly.  Prior to treatment a doctor will need to sign your Workers Compensation Form but once the form is signed you do not require a Doctor's referral for Osteopathic treatment to be covered.

(NOTE: If for any reason MAIB or your employers insurer does not accept liability or ceases to accept liability you will be personally responsible for payment of your account.)
