Becky Grindley

Osteopath

BSc (Hons) Osteopathic Medicine, British College of Osteopathic Medicine, London, UK, 2006

BSc (Hons) Psychology, University of Lincolnshire and Humberside, UK, 1998

Becky has been an osteopath for sixteen years, having graduated in the UK and worked in a variety of clinical settings.

Becky moved to Australia over five years ago. As an osteopath she most enjoys trying to understand the cause of an individual's pain and discomfort and the bio-mechanical changes that can occur with this. An important part of this is taking an individualistic approach to her patients health care needs and goals and involving the patient in this. Becky believes an important part of her practice is having the opportunity to educate her patients. She particularly enjoys the challenge of more complex cases, being able to utilise her osteopathic diagnostic skills and examination to find the right treatment plan for the individual.

Becky has post-graduate qualifications in dry needling level 1 and 2, kinesiology taping and cranial osteopathy with the Sutherland Cranial College and she uses a variety of these treatment techniques best suited to the individual.

Becky had the opportunity to be part of an international team of osteopaths in Arequipa, Peru, providing osteopathy for a range of conditions in various clinical settings including local hospitals, with the aim to provide osteopathic treatment to unemployed, underprivileged groups and complex cases.

In her spare time, Becky enjoys hiking, yoga and mountain biking and has discovered a new hobby of furniture revamping when she has the time.
